A few weeks ago I was in California for a mini break. My friend and I had meandered up to Mendocino and beyond all the way to Westport where we stayed for a few days of just rest and reading. She did most of the resting by sleeping the days away while I did most of the reading. One afternoon, after a few hours lying on the Westport-Union Landing beach completely absorbed in my book (The Orchardist by Amanda Coplin), I went for a quick stroll and found these shells covering several rocks and grabbed these images. I love rugged natural beauty and these were just there for the enjoyment of anyone willing to make it so far north of San Francisco. #vscocam

I love signs of spring! In my home, the tell-tale sign that good times are on there way is when my hydrangea starts to show signs of life. After more than two years with this plant, I should be totally use to it by now, but to be honest, I still get so excited when I see it start to come to life!

It isn’t often that one gets a late-night, on the wrong-side of the runway view of an airport, but that was just the case in Medellin, Colombia. #vscocam
